About Us

Parry Sound Aquatics is a new swim program launching in the heart of Georgian Bay, alongside the opening of a brand-new aquatic facility in June 2026.

We are building a community-driven swim program focused on athlete development, water safety, and long-term competitive growth. As a startup club, we are creating something from the ground up — and we’re looking for a Head Coach who wants to help build, lead, and grow a program from day one.

The Opportunity

This is a founding leadership role — ideal for a coach who is entrepreneurial, community-minded, and excited by the challenge of building a team.

You will play a key role in:

  • Shaping the program structure
  • Growing athlete enrollment
  • Establishing a strong team culture
  • Leading the transition toward competitive club status
  • We are especially interested in candidates who are excited by the opportunity to build and grow a program in partnership with the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of all swim programming (introductory to competitive)
  • Develop seasonal and long-term training plans aligned with Swimming Canada LTAD principles
  • Recruit and develop swimmers across all levels
  • Plan and execute tryouts, assessments, and onboarding programs
  • Build and mentor a coaching team as the club grows
  • Collaborate with the Board and work toward affiliation with Swim Ontario
  • Attend and lead competitions, training camps, and club events
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance environment
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and community partners
  • Support community outreach, partnerships, and program growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • NCCP Swimming Level 1 (Trained or Certified; willingness to complete certification required)
  • Previous experience coaching age group or competitive swimmers
  • Strong understanding of swim technique, training progression, and athlete development
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a Board, volunteers, and families
  • Passion for building programs and developing young athletes
  • Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to start)

Compensation & Growth

  • Base salary: $40,000 – $65,000, depending on experience and scope
  • Performance-based growth opportunities, including:
    • Enrollment-based increases
    • Program expansion incentives
    • Potential for future revenue sharing or bonuses

💡 This role is designed to grow alongside the club — offering long-term leadership and earning potential as the program expands.

Compensation commensurate with experience, with growth tied to enrollment

What Makes This Unique

  • Opportunity to build a swim program from the ground up
  • Brand-new aquatic facility opening in 2026
